Women Build

What is Women Build

Women Build is a coalition of female led teams that come together each year to sponsor and build a home for a hard working lady in our community.

Volunteers are comprised of men and women from our community with women taking the lead to together raise the funds and raise the walls for the Women Build House. Habitat for Humanity Women Build House relies on community members to be team leaders and each recruit up to 10 men and women for their team. Together they will raise funds and contribute the volunteers needed to construct the home through a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign and by recruiting friends and family to support their work.

Our 2020 Women Build House will be located in New Albany. The future homeowner will be Doneiska and her two sons.  Doneiska is a single mother like many of our Habitat families.

This house will kick off in March with the framing to begin early summer.  We hope to finish in the Fall of 2020.

Your Participation is this Easy

  1. Put together a team of 6-10 people (both men and women can help participate).
  2. Each team participant raises donations which go directly to the construction cost of the Women Build House for Doneiska and her family. As your team raises money, prizes are earned for each team member.
  3. Raising money is easy; you can have each team member asks 10 friends/family for $10.  That raises $100 individually.
  4. Collectively, each team of 10 raises $1,000
  5. Schedule a build day for you and your team to work on the Women Build House during the 2020 build season and see directly where your donations are going. (This step is optional!)

We are still accepting teams for 2020! Contact Us to register your team:
